Acceptance of these terms

These terms and conditions govern your access to and use of www.decurity.io (the “site”), operated by Decentralized Security LLC-FZ, trading as “Decurity” (“we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What these terms do and do not cover

These terms cover the site only. Our security services — smart contract audits, penetration testing, monitoring, advisory and any other engagement — are provided solely under a separate written agreement setting out the scope, fees, warranties and liability for that work. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and no client relationship is created by reading it or by submitting the contact form.

Using the site

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to access the site for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• use the site in breach of any applicable law or regulation, or to infringe anyone’s rights;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, or any connected system or network;
• interfere with the availability or integrity of the site, including by denial-of-service or by introducing malicious code;
• place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure through automated access — the audit record is published as a bulk dataset precisely so that scraping is unnecessary;
• misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use the site to send unsolicited commercial messages.

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in this site or our systems, please report it to us at info@decurity.io rather than disclosing or exploiting it.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the content of the site — text, research articles, graphics, layout, logos and design — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may read, quote and link to it with attribution for non-commercial and journalistic purposes; you may not republish it wholesale, or present it as your own, without our written permission.

Two exceptions apply. Our published audit dataset, available from the open data page, is licensed under CC BY 4.0 and that licence governs its use. Our open-source projects are governed by the licence published in each repository. Where either licence conflicts with this section, that licence prevails.

Third-party names, trademarks and logos appearing on the site — including those of clients and audited protocols — remain the property of their respective owners and are used to identify published work, not to imply endorsement of us by them.

The audit record, research and no security guarantee

The site publishes a record of engagements we have carried out, together with research and open data. That material is provided for information only, and is subject to important limits:

• An audit is a time-boxed review of a defined scope at a specific commit. It is not a guarantee, warranty or certification that any protocol, contract or system is free of vulnerabilities or fit for any purpose.
• Listing a client or engagement is a statement that work took place, not an endorsement of that party, its token or its current deployed code, which may have changed since we reviewed it.
• Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any digital asset. Interacting with blockchain protocols carries risk, including total loss of funds.
• Research articles describe vulnerabilities and techniques for defensive and educational purposes. You are responsible for ensuring any use you make of them is lawful and authorised.

Availability and changes

We provide the site free of charge and may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of it at any time without notice. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is complete or current.

Third-party links

The site links to material we do not control, including audit reports hosted elsewhere, client repositories and third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of those resources, and a link is not an endorsement.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or digital assets, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the site or anything published on it — including any decision taken in reliance on the audit record or our research. This section does not affect the liability provisions of any engagement agreement, which govern our services.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your use of the site in breach of these terms or of applicable law.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the site and forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed materially. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
